OVERVIEW:
The Specialty Operator operates start-up equipment to standard operating procedures, interprets operation of the Specialty area on the computer, maintains work station as to cleanliness and order, and samples products, performs physicochemical analyses and records information of finish product and notifies foreman of out of spec material.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs work in a manner that complies with all safety practices and sanitation standards
  • Operates  all equipment in a manner to maintain a high flow rate and high quality production, in a safe manner
  • Able to perform work procedures SSO 1 thru SSO30 as described in the work procedure index  
  • Pack finished product into various packing types and sizes as well as palletizing
  • Warehousing of finished product into racks after shrink wrapping 
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Foreman


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be proficient in the proper and safe operation of a Forklift truck
  • Must be able to make analysis and decisions involving  judgment
  • Must be able and willing to work a rotating schedule of 8 or 12 hours
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE and follow all GMP Guidelines
  • Lifting requirements are 1-10lbs constantly, 10-20lbs frequently, and 20-50lbs occasionally

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred
