OVERVIEW

Provide engineering support to the packaging department to help improve equipment reliability, operating efficiency, safety and service quality to the refinery.

 

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Improve the reliability of refinery packaging equipment through the development and implementation of improved preventive maintenance activities. Oversee the predictive maintenance program.
  • Plan and direct the development, execution, and completion of projects including concept development, detailed engineering design, scheduling, procurement and construction
  • Assist in troubleshooting problems, diagnosing and recommending repairs, develop repair scopes, create design and fabrication drawings. 
  • Help maintain performance standards for packaging department and monitors efficiency, while maintaining reliability and safety standards. Identify issues and implement improvement plans and initiatives to achieve department and plant goals. Develops and recommends capital and engineering projects to support improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures that all standards and requirements for food safety and quality are maintained as they pertain to the packaging department.

             

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to manage projects, meet critical project milestones and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and quickly implement their strategy.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Proficient skills specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are required
  • Working knowledge of SAP, RBI, Power Apps, and Visual Basics are preferred
  • Must display competence in maintenance planning and operational excellence

 

WORK EXPERIENCES

  • 5 years of experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Mechanical engineering from an accredited college and/or university or a minimum of ten years of maintenance technician experience in an industrial setting or equivalent military training.
