OVERVIEW

  • The Sr. Supply Chain Planner provides analytics, support, and inputs to the demand and supply plan in support of the Sales & Operations planning process.
  • They facilitate root cause analysis of KPIs and lead action items to drive Continuous Improvement of the process.
  • As part of our S&OP implementation, the Planner will be a key versatile player to ensure business continuity while we integrate and implement tools, systems, and processes.
  • With directions from the corresponding Category Planning Manager, they will cover mission critical duties for mid/long-term supply planning.
  • On the Demand Planning side, they will support the S&OP process by conducting sales trends analysis and a drill-down review of sales gaps in order to identify requirements for action.

 

Through tool implementation and as a way to support the S&OP pilot in the US, the planner will support the development and maintenance of temporary tools to attain an unconstrained demand plan, capacity plan, constrained demand plan and supply / demand gap assessments.. 

 

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize SAP, Excel, Access and other systems/processes to gather and analyze sales data, production performance, and conduct capacity analysis
  • Build spreadsheet tools to gather demand planning data, conduct production capacity analysis
  • Support development of executive summary in the S&OP process
  • Own action items resulting from the S&OP cycle
  • Lead root-cause analysis for demand / supply performance gaps
  • Support S&OP project team in process documentation and obtaining cross-functional sign off
  • Backup members of the Planning Team including Category Planning Manager-level duties on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 4 - 7 years of experience in Supply Chain – Transportation, Logistics, Distribution, Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehousing and or Customer Service.
  • Background in Supply Planning highly desirable
  • Experience making presentations to executives highly desirable
  • SAP experience including Business Intelligence
  • Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access
  • Continuous Improvement experience

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field from an accredited college/university is required.
  • APICS certification a plus
