Digital Marketing Executive (e-commerce)

POSITION SCOPE & STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

 

With this role ASR is looking to increase online sales of the UK established brands; Lyle’s Golden Syrup and Tate & Lyle Sugars. The role will take responsibility for improving e-commerce performance, working with colleagues & retail customers to enhance product listings, ranking and implement profitable promotional strategies for specific accounts. The role will also work to integrate brand campaigns with e-commerce and explore new transaction models as market evolves. Will also support on implementation of brand paid media campaigns and overall working of the digital marketing team.

 

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Maximise sales performance with online retailers
  • Own analytics on account performance and lead improvements to product listings, search effectiveness and product ranking
  • Design & implement promotional campaigns on retailer, owned & paid channels as needed
  • Embed e-commerce opportunities into brand digital campaigns
  • Work with colleagues to identify & activate new digital sales opportunities, including alexa skills and recipe fulfillment
  • Work with sales, category & trade marketing colleagues to identify opportunities for online growth of T&LS products.
  • Manage ongoing calendar of paid and promotional media activity that delivers against brand & trade marketing goals.
  • Work with digital marketing colleagues in support of the campaign, content and channel plans
  • Input to annual budgeting process (from annual plan) and budget management for assigned tasks.
  • Comply with all the standards, policies and requirements of Quality, Food Safety and Food Defense.

 

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES

 

  • Project Management skills - ability on planning and prioritisaiton.
  • Highly experieced at driving performance of products via retailer e-commercer platforms.
  • Highly experienced at directly running & optimising paid media campaigns (PPC).
  • Experienced at managing content & product listings to maximise SEO.
  • Photoshop/Illustrator basic knowledge (for cropping and adjusting content assests).
  • Experieced with data reporting and translation into useful insights.

 

HELPFUL CAPABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, TikTok and other emerging platforms).
  • Experience of writing online copy, with attention to detail, that improves product standout and appeal. 
  • Web backend CMS.
  • CRM (mailchimp) experience.

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES

 

  • 3 years of experience working in similar paid media / e-commerce roles
  • Working with branded household names in consumer goods (food industry helpful)
  • In-house from large brand-owning organisation

 

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Economics, Management or related fields
  • Verbal and written proficiency in English
