POSITION SCOPE

Reporting to the Senior Controls Engineer the successful candidate will have responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the Company’s control systems at the Plaistow Wharf site.

 

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and enhance control and instrumentation, hardware and software whilst ensuring process & packing operations perform to the optimum level.
  • Communicate with all levels of personnel to ensure understanding of changes to the control systems
  • Provide specialist control systems and instrumentation knowledge to the process for capital projects and assist with replacement of legacy systems when required.
  • Evaluate changes/upgrades to process control systems and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the definition of standards for the development and maintenance of process control systems within the site

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • None

 

LOCATION OF ROLE

  • Plaistow based with occasional support at Thames.

 

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Solid project management experience
  • Excellent understanding of a range of process control tools and techniques, but specifically Allen Bradley contrologix platforms and Wonderware ArchestraA.  In addition, some Siemens S5 & S7 experience would be beneficial.
  • Good knowledge of syrup processing and sugar packaging operations

 

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
