To lead the performance and continuous improvement of the European Supply Chain organization with a focus on people development, reliability, innovation, service, cost and quality



        • Understands the latest supply chain solutions and strategic thinking
        • Applies strategy to continuous improvement of people, process and technology
        • Ability to deliver robust solutions to the business in a dynamic environment
        • Understands customer’s requirements in each market, channel and country and sets the direction of the supply chain organisation to effectively deliver
        • Develops KPIs to drive service improvements, cost reductions, agility and quality improvements in line with ASR’s strategic direction, objectives and customer expectations
        • Develop appropriate organisational structures in Planning, Customer Service, and Logistics for EU and local geographies; develops personnel for current and future growth requirements




Leadership and Team Development

  • Develop Supply Chain Talent, Succession Planning and Personal Development Plans (PDPs)
  • Provide organisational cross-functional leadership working in collaboration with Finance, HR, Operations, Sales, Legal and other department heads
  • Establish supply chain vision and direction for EU team
  • Encourage teamwork, communication and collaboration across the EU team


Financial and Performance Management

  • Develops and owns budget for European Supply Chain
  • Meet supply chain performance targets for service, cost, and quality
  • Develop inventory strategy across the business to optimise cost and service
  • Establish and drive KPI’s
  • Work collaboratively across functions to drive continuous improvement
  • Drive performance improvement in customer returns, and credits


Distribution Network Management

  • Ensure network meets business requirements
  • Sets logistics policy to deliver customer service and competitive advantage
  • Innovate to deliver improved visibility and performance to the business
  • Full understanding and cross functional communication with Sales and Finance on costs to serve customers in different markets and the alternative networks to service customers
  • Develop cost-to-serve approach and management for distribution


Customer Service and Collaboration

  • Lead Customer Service organisation and drive processes to ensure shared value
  • Implements processes and technology to reduce costs per order while improving customer service
  • Develops and implements KPIs to ensure accuracy of contracts, orders, and reductions in credits
  • Provide customer collaboration focus and leadership with key customers to improve overall supply chain and service performance


Integrated Business Planning

  • Provide vision and direction for the Planning function inclusive of Demand and Supply
  • Ensure effective collaboration across business functions to drive forecast accuracy, inventory optimisation, and service
  • Continuous improvement of S&OP process to drive business results



  • Responsible for ensuring delivery of products to customers on time and in full and to budget
  • Establish robust budgets and controls to ensure financials are met
  • Organisational leadership and development
  • Owns and improves performance KPIs
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities or business gaps and drive pragmatic solutions across functions
  • Develops both internal and external relationships to ensure robust collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Develops appropriate structures and functions for EU based and local geographies, implements agreed solutions
  • The owner and advocate for supply chain best practice throughout the EU



  • High level of proactivity and pragmatic solutions provider for external and internal customers
  • Detailed understanding of logistics strategy, operations, data sources, disciplines and best practices.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to Delighting the Customer mission and motivation of the team to achieve a common objective
  • Excellent team leader; keeps the organization’s vision, mission and values at the forefront of decision-making and action
  • Ability to work within deadlines / under pressure.
  • Strong problem solving skills, highly numerate and analytical / detailed approach
  • English language and excellent verbal and written communication skills, ideally a second European language
  • High level of computer literacy (particularly Excel)
  • FMCG commercial understanding and attitude / approach
  • Effective task management and team player
  • High level of ownership and an entrepreneurial attitude to drive results
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations



  • 10 to 15 years minimum previous EU wide supply chain experience with high proactivity requirements
  • FMCG / CPG experience in a fast paced production environment
  • Management / leadership experience in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • A business professional with significant knowledge and demonstrable application of supply chain best practice and methods
  • Knowledge of supply chain systems and ERP platforms
  • Bulk and packed goods logistics experience across multiple geographies
  • Customer focused with a high appreciation of market needs and trends
  • Experience in the use of SAP preferred


  • A business degree or equivalent qualification
