Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America’s first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table.  We are America’s first and only producer of certified organic sugar, grown and harvested in the United States. Our renewable energy facility is the largest of its kind in North America and provides clean energy that powers our sugar operations, which helps us reduce our use of fossil fuels.  Florida Crystals also sustainably farms rice, sweet corn and other vegetables in rotation with our sugarcane.  Our rice mill is the only rice mill in Florida. 



The Global IT Finance Solution Owner (“Solution Owner”) reports to the Global IT Corporate Functions Lead/Regional IT Lead Mexico & Belize, and partners with the FCC/ASR Finance functions to translate functional strategy and requirements into process and data solutions. This role requires proficiency in finance business processes, consumer product goods industry knowledge, SAP and non-SAP platforms.


The Solution Owner brings deep process and system knowledge and is responsible for the design and roadmap of all projects through the company and its partners along with a sub-tower specific team of Solution Process Experts where required.


The primary function of the Solution Owner is to work with the Finance functions to understand the vision and define capabilities required to enable the vision of the function. In addition, the solution owner will provide an outside-in perspective from the industry and partner with EA to optimize current processes and drive business outcomes from technology investments.


The Solution Owner must be self-driven, with strong business process knowledge, analytical skills, excellent communication, and good customer presence.



  • Engage and influence functional stakeholders on process and technology decisions aligned to global strategies, processes and solutions.
  • Where applicable, lead and build a team of Solution Process Experts who deliver business value through their expertise and help drive growth in business.
  • Developing the IT strategic roadmap for their process area.
  • Ensure transparency of the value and total cost of ownership (TCO) of all solutions in their process area.
  • Build robust IT solutions which are sustainable and drive Application Rationalization and Process Harmonization.
  • In relationship with the Tower Delivery Lead, ensure the delivery of program/projects is in line with laid out business objectives at lowest possible costs, and agreed timeline and realizing business benefits.
  • Partners with IT Enterprise Architecture to ensure that the solutions identified are compliant with EA strategy and standards.
  • Analyze high-level requirements, conduct cost/benefit analyses to determine proper architecture solutions.
  • Implement best practices to continually improve performance of solutions, to achieve the long term strategic goals.
  • Seeks and obtains a deep understanding of the solutions supporting the Sales and Marketing processes.
  • Responsible to ensure system integrity and design is upheld and changes verified.
  • Collaborate with relevant partners and stakeholders to ensure project and operational performances are met.
  • Plays leadership role on sales and marketing solution projects and initiatives.
  • Partner with the business to develop idea management artifacts (project scope, charter, Business case stakeholder).
  • Helping the functions understand system impacts to process improvement and changes.
  • Works with external partners to implement new functionality according to functional requirements.
  • Completes and oversees SAP and non-SAP technical and application changes.
  • Actively participates in industry forums and understand how new industry trends be leverage in the sales and marketing function.
  • Participate in escalations on innovation initiatives and relationships with the key suppliers.



  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience
  • 5+ years in roles where demonstrated exceptional leadership and solution capabilities partnering or part of NPD & Quality functions
  • Has led Finance projects to optimize business processes leveraging technology
  • Led business case development for complex Finance initiatives
  • Strong understanding and experience in developing standards-based Business Process Documents and related documentation
  • Has led business process modeling for Finance and related LOB’s for a global corporation
  • Has provided knowledge transfer, training and mentoring
  • Detailed understanding of ERP system integration and functionality
  • Participation on Finance forums
  • Led or key participation in software selection activities
  • Experience in functional processes
    • Experienced in Finance business applications with technological awareness.
    • Experience with software, infrastructure and technologies. For example:
      • Large package implementations: SAP
      • E-commerce and automation technologies, e.g. EDI, RPA, ML, AI
      • Private/Public Cloud solutions
      • Knowledge and experience with business process management [BPM]
      • Knowledge and experience with Finance analytics
