The CMDM Analyst will be part of the Central Master Data Management team, which resides in the IT organization within the Data & Analytics department.  The CMDM Team is responsible for a global shared service for the management and governance of Vendor and Material Master Data objects within the SAP systems.  The proper governance policies, standards, and quality of our Master Data objects are critical to successful global operations and support multiple business functional areas.  The CMDM Analyst will be accountable for prioritizing support tickets that create, extend, change, and delete the Master Data objects, while maintaining a high level of customer service.



  • Manage the Vendor Master Data objects for supplier accounts that provide our company goods and/or services, or other business account relationships that require payments from our company.  This includes validation of critical data elements and proper documentation of information from their government issued tax forms and bank account statements.
  • Manage the Material Master Data objects for MRO Spare Parts & Equipment, Packaging/Labels, and Ingredient/Chemicals product SKUs that provide our company with the ability to classify, procure, plan, manufacture, stock, etc. in our operational supply chain business processes.  This includes transferring, translating, and investigating technical details from manufacturers of materials specifications to the SAP systems.
  • Review every Master Data change request and coordinate with the business user community to ensure accuracy and completeness of the data, while avoiding duplication and misclassification.
  • Maintain control tables that manage the formatting standards of the Master Data classification, description abbreviations/sequencing, and predefined characteristic values.
  • Perform Master Data stewardship duties by facilitating and actively participating in Data Governance Councils with our internal business partners.
  • Work independently on internal continuous improvement projects that involve analysing the existing Master Data and assessing the quality of that data, in order to ultimately cleanse, de-duplicate, and enrich the data.  This includes properly documenting and reporting the data quality metrics for on-going tracking purposes.
  • Work in a team environment during capital projects that use our Master Data objects for different purposes; tasks could include mass maintenance, data analysis validations, testing functional scripts, etc.
  • Build reports and metrics that show the KPIs and operational details that represent the impact and value of centrally managing our company’s Master Data.
  • Manage our company’s Metadata by providing information about our Master Data on a public digital content management platform.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating with internal company users from different business departments in our global companies; accounts payable, treasury, finance, logistics, procurement, engineering, MRP, etc.
  • Deliver basic technical support and training to business end-users for data integration failures between SAP systems and MDG workflow/interface usability.



  • At least 5 years’ experience of SAP Material/Vendor/Customer/Plant Master Data Management is required.
  • At least 5 years’ experience of SAP ERP, SAP MDG, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Information Steward; or other comparable workflow/reporting/analysis software tools for MDM, DG, and DQ.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance Engineering experience; good knowledge of MRO spare parts is a huge plus.
  • Purchasing, Procure to Pay, Accounts Payable experience.
  • Data analysis and processing experience; particularly with Microsoft Access, SQL, Excel, and SAP.



  • An associates, bachelors, or vocational degrees are preferred; business, computers, analytics, or engineering concentrations are preferred.
  • Formal certifications from SAP, or functional experience in ERP, MDM, DG, DQ, BI.
  • Fluent in the English language; prefer multi-lingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese.



  • The position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
