SAP GRC Security Lead

The SAP / GRC security lead position will lead and manage all activities within Governance Risk and Compliance, and SAP Security. This includes identify, investigate, resolve, develop processes, procedures, and associated documentation relative to how identity and access to systems is managed. The Lead focuses on Governance Risk and Compliance, and SAP Security aspects of information security and serves as a leader for managing all aspects of access control tools and identity management processes and technologies.



  • Design and develop access management solutions based on industry best practices.
  • Acts in the capacity as the most senior technical expert for all Governance Risk and Compliance, and SAP Security technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Contributes and maintains all processes and tools for Governance Risk and Compliance, and SAP Security.
  • Develops and manages technical processes for the provisioning and periodic review of access to systems
  • Develops and leads technical team in the investigation and resolution of complex privacy, security, and access management problems.
  • Analyze performance of SAP and GRC applications and take action to correct deficiencies
  • Follow the established change control processes, maintain, and modify SAP and GRC applications
  • Works closely with release management

  • 8-10 years of experience in IT organization
  • 5-8 years of experience in SAP security is required.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is required
  • S4 Hana, SAP ECC, SAP cloud, SAP IDP experience required.
  • Hands-on experience working with Active Directory or similar LDAP technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with Linux/Unix, Windows, scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Perl), SQL, LDAP, SAML, and web services.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and participating in troubleshooting, managing, and solving issues related to identities, systems, access, accounts, authentication, authorization, entitlements, and permissions.
  • Knowledge of LDAP and identity federation
  • Experience with application support and application provisioning
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of access management tools, processes, and best practices
  • Ability to effectively work with and coordinate the activities of outside consultants and auditors.
  • Ability to develop and lead teams toward stated objectives and goals.
  • Interpersonal communication skills for working with personnel in sometimes difficulty or tense situations.



  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college, university or equivalent years expierence

  • Strong knowledge of SAP platform
  • Ability to set proper prioritizations
  • Understanding of IT risk management
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills

  • Prior experience working in or with large manufacturing companies, in multi-country environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MS products, including Office, Projects and SharePoint

  • Organization – Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow-through to resolve any outstanding issues
