OVERVIEW

The Sr Operations Analyst will drive operational excellence across ASR manufacturing operations – the single most important driver of ASR profitability. The Sr Operations Analyst will lead aimed at improving the efficiency and sustainability of ASR operations (e.g., sugar refining, packaging, maintenance, distribution) while supporting some of the business’s most critical decisions. Additionally, this role will establish, track, troubleshoot and present operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to senior ASR leadership including the Global CFO and SVP Operations. The Sr Operations Analyst reports to the Director of Operational Finance.

 

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use critical thinking and analysis to drive and lead change across all aspects of ASR’s business – particularly in operations, but also supply chain, sales, marketing and other functions as needed
  • Extract insights from data and effectively use images, charts, and conceptual frameworks to synthesize that data
  • Develop actionable recommendations
  • Create and deliver professional presentations to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with ASR colleagues across functions and regions in implementing solutions
  • Drive continuous process improvement within Finance and across all ASR processes
  • Support ASR’s annual budget process, to include detailed evaluation of all budget plans, budget compilation, and final presentation

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience required of hands-on engineering operations experience including involving data analysis, model building, continuous improvement
  • Experience supporting and analyzing performance of manufacturing operations is a plus

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • B.A. or B.S. required in Engineering (industrial, mechanical, chemical or civil)
  • M.B.A. or Master’s in Finance/Accounting-related field of study is a plus but not required

 

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

  • Data sleuth – approaches problems with an unbiased, objective, and data-first approach
  • A willingness to learn about our business, leaving your desk and spending time in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable in communicating with stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Highly analytical and with an ability to draw insight from large data sets
  • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting concepts required
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles is a plus but not required
  • Strong Excel / Power BI / PowerPoint skills – beneficial
  • A willingness to learn – essential
  • Experience using SAP / Anaplan – beneficial
  • Organized and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple activities simultaneously
