OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Team Manager provides necessary technical support, and Leadership, to direct, facilitate and coordinate the performance, development and improve the day-to-day management of warehouse and bulk shipping areas. This position has the responsibility of assuring the efficient and economical direction, coordination of warehouse operations, granulated and liquid operations according to established quality standards.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs the warehouse supervisors, liquid and granulated employees to meet and exceed all safety, health, quality and environmental regulations and requirements
- Directs and coordinates the loading and unloading of all warehouse operations, including granulated and liquid sucrose
- Directly supervises and maintains a high level of interaction with all employees
- Analyzes area operations to ensure processes & procedures are aligned with Quality expectations. Modifies the process within established limits to meet this objective at least cost
- Manages the picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity and following FIFO policy
- Sets priorities on shift and meets shift objectives. Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly
- Draft weekly labor schedules that support operational imperatives while maintaining labor cost based on scheduling attainment
- Develop supervisory and operating personnel to ensure optimum use of labor force assigned to each shift. Evaluates the performance of subordinates
- Handles employee and labor relations problems on shift within limits of the contract, delegated authority and established guidelines
- Support department leadership by communicating to senior plant level leadership on business unit performance.
- Drives continuous improvement through team engagement
- Responsible for training and safety of assigned personnel and for housekeeping, sanitation and equipment maintenance in assigned areas to ensure that GMP standards are maintained. Schedules necessary training for personnel to ensure all personnel are qualified to execute business plan.
- Executes yearly performance evaluations for salary direct reports based on set yearly objectives

REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of management experience in industrial maintenance, warehouse organization or similar environment
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation
- Work to support 24/7 operations
- High regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 360
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to lead, supervise, and make decisions
- Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment
- Industrial food processing experience preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 4 year degree OR 5 years supervisory experience in similar field required.

REWARD PACKAGE
The expected pay range for this position is $96,000 - $178,000 and will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
