OVERVIEW

As a Field Walker at Sugar Farms Co-op, you will be responsible for walking plant operations.  Your primary duties will include walking assigned rows, making sure planting crews are doing a quality job planting. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as your reports will guide timely interventions and support optimal yield.

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

• Systematically walk crop fields to monitor planting operations
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and agronomists regarding field observations
• Assist with flagging or marking plants or areas requiring treatment
• Support field trials and sampling processes as directed
• Follow all safety guidelines and biosecurity protocols
• Ability to walk long distances outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong observational and recording skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

• Pass Background check
• Must be able to pass Physical and Drug test
