OVERVIEW

The Service Station Attendant is a key team member at the fuel and service station, ensuring smooth daily operations and safety for employees. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including upholding the cleanliness and appearance of the station, checking for leaks and damage, ensuring proper labeling and painting conditions on tanks, and greeting fellow employees courteously, along with many other tasks. Through these duties, the Service Station Attendant supports the delivery of high-quality service and helps maintain the company’s standards for operational excellence and safety.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:      

  • Pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a physical and drug screening           
  • Greet fellow employees in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival at the station
  • Inspect fuel tanks for leaks
  • Inspect tanks for visual damage or corrosion
  • Check air lines and fittings for leaks or dry rotted
  • Ensure fuel and oil tank labels are legible and in perfect shape
  • Inspect paint on tanks. Make sure that the paint is not peeling off or in bad condition
  • Make sure fuel filters and all dispensing filters are in perfect shape
  • Check for proper working condition of dispensing pumps
  • Keep buildings and grounds clean and free of garbage or debris
  • Control vegetation away from the gas station area
  • Keep safety and restricted areas painted and in good condition
  • Maintain dikes free of garbage, water, and in clean shape
  • Keep control room clean and organize materials/tools inside
  • Check working conditions of metering systems
  • Verify if fire extinguishers are available and have valid inspections
  • Follow all safety regulations and respond to emergencies, such as fuel spills or accidents, promptly and effectively.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma preferred but not required
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
