Overview
This is an hourly position working as a Production Operator. The Production Operator will work in all production areas of the plant such as will work in Liquid Processing, Dry Bulk Processing, or Warehouse areas as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- The setup and operation of equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Preparation and handling of loading liquid and dry bulk tanks for customers.
- Setup and proper handling of empty packaging and equipment for packaging product.
- Moving and handling of unloading railcars.
- Preparing and conducting sampling for the lab.
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and production areas per the Master Sanitation and as instructed by the supervisor.
- Must be able to operate and drive a forklift.
- Complete required documentation daily.
- Operate a Windows PC.
- Contribute to the completion of CAPA tasks.
- Will be required to train on Safety, GMP’s, Quality systems, Work Instructions and/or other appropriate material as needed or appropriate.
- Adhere to and ensure all Safety guidelines are followed at all times.
- Demonstrate ability to read, comprehend and follow all verbal and written work assignments.
- Ability to effectively communicate across all departments.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and as a team.
Preferred Experience
- The ideal candidate will have 5 plus years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Prior liquid batching experience preferred.
- Prior railcar moving/unloading preferred.
- PLC control experience preferred.
- Setup of liquid industrial processing equipment preferred.
Required Experience
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to lift 75lbs.
- Ability to work any shift.
- Must be able to work overtime as required (weekends and holidays).
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
