OVERVIEW

The role holder is responsible for the creation, and coordination of Sidul’s training and training materials across site to build employee competency and capability. Responsible for coaching the operational line/area-based Trainers to deliver on-the-job training to new employees and existing employees, as well as refresher training and training for new equipment and processes.

 

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, develop, deliver and evaluate an effective training process which meets the needs of the business and customer requirements. Work with Area Managers to complete training needs analysis.
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, role playing, group discussion, On-the-Job training etc.) whilst delivering or creating training materials.
  • Maintain and deliver SuccessFactor (LMS) based training as per Group requirement and make sure training compliance is up to date.
  • Ensure that accurate training records with competency sign offs are always maintained and scanned for all employees and are regularly reviewed to reflect on going business change and development.
  • Ensure all training activity is monitored, evaluated, and communicated.
  • Be responsible for the total induction process for new employees, ensuring that all new recruits settle into the business quickly and are effective in their roles. Organize and manage annual training days.
  • Work with the management team as necessary to develop people capability and implement change that results in improved Sidul performance.
  • Work closely with Area Manager(s) to create and write SOPs/WI’s for packing lines/ refinery process engineering make sure it complies with our group standard format.
  • Deliver On-the-job training to all shift as per their role requirement (e.g. basic safety induction on the line, overall quality and environment standards awareness)
  • Deliver Induction and site tour for new employee(s)
  • Improve or develop new training processes, systems, and courses to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • Prepare all information required for customer or other specific audits and legal reports and ensure that all records and information are maintained to meet the needs of the business and customer audit requirements.
  • Coordinate, monitor and mentor any employees completing external studies or courses and liaise with external providers as required.
  • Work with the Area managers to ensure that all processes, records, training activity, systems and KPIs reflect the training required to meet strategic needs.
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
  • Use known educational principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.
  • Assist Technical Training Manager in various projects on training.

 

 

DESIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

 

  • Previous administration and training experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • LMS experience (preferred)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Analytical and Data Driven
  • Highly organised and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong Attention to details
  • Strong communication skills

 

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Graduation or master’s degree on relevant area.
  • Able to speak in English and Portuguese fluently.
  • Train the Trainer course and experience in deliver training (mandatory).
  • Health & Safety Training (preferred).
  • Food Safety Training or Experience (preferred).
  • HACCP Training (preferred).
