What will you be doing?

This is an operational based role, you will be responsible for looking at the different factors that impact our refinery performance, resolving plant issues, optimising plant equipment, facilitating with operators and improving the overall technical and plant related aspects of our refinery.

 

Having a technical mindset to face challenges, troubleshoot and resolve should come naturally to you as well as an understanding of process flows and unit operations. As our Process Engineer you will work as part of a team of 4 and will have the opportunity to stand in for the Process Team Manager as and when required.

 

There is lots to be getting on with here and no 2 days are the same, from Quality incident and process investigations to energy optimisation and auditing. Once fully trained there will be the opportunity to get involve with various projects across the refinery.

 

You will;

  • Assist in managing the technical and plant related aspects of Safety, Hygiene, Environment and Quality consistent with TALS procedures and targets to achieve continuous improvement and to meet legislative and regulatory compliance.
  • Development of systems to measure key plant technical performance and output quality standards.
  • Identify projects to enhance safety, de-bottleneck and improve technical performance / reduce costs.
  • Manage medium sized projects (up to £100k).

 

This role is based on site in our Thames Refinery in London.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Relevant experience in a similar production / manufacturing site operation
  • Educated to degree level in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Good technical understanding of process flows and unit operations.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems such as risk assessments and safety auditing
