POSITION SCOPE

  • Plays an integral role in the European business decision making by having outstanding cross functional relationships.
  • Supports the delivery of short, medium, and long term corporate and regional objectives at an asset level.
  • Outstanding commercial input with the ability to take and execute market opportunities.
  • Holds the Procurement team accountable for day to day performance while establishing a Procurement culture that has a sense of urgency to support customer service and commercial performance at its core.
  • Responsible for the management of Purchasing activities in Capex and Services for ASR Europe and for the development of Procurement’s core processes, standard operating procedures and category management strategies to ensure that timely, cost-effective and robust contracts are sourced, negotiated, awarded and maintained with key suppliers and strategic partners, while maintaining optimal levels of support and cost benefits to internal customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining and accountability of KPI’s, while working with internal stakeholders to drive improvement and cost effective solutions in a proactive manner.

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Effective Procurement Team management, ensuring that team member performances are closely monitored and optimized using training & development while driving compliance with SOP’s and best practices
  • Buildings and maintaining collaborative cross functional relationships between the Procurement team and its internal customers, that provide for appropriate levels of service and support being maintained and for priorities being addressed proactively
  • Developing and presenting market-competitive category management strategies covering the key sub-categories and commodity groups.
  • Developing and implementing an effective supplier relationship management program to drive improvements in supplier performances and added-value contributions.
  • Expert in contract negotiations, pricing analysis and markets forecasting
  • Ability to prepare and present complex information to C-Suite Level Executives while generating a strategic plan that integrates numerous business issues, functions and resources for effective action

 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES AND KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Management of all spend related to Capex and Services for European Business
  • Strong relationship with Engineering Department
  • Management of the Procurement team’s performance against departmental and internal customer KPIs and SLAs.
  • Development and implementation of business cases to drive significant improvements in P-2-P process efficiencies

  • Arranges for cross training of direct reports to maximize productivity and provide coverage of all functions
