What will you be doing

 

You’ll join Ben and his team to lead our Demand and Supply Planning Team, you will be responsible for orchestrating the coordination of activities related to the planning and execution of our internal production and co-packer operations. You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, aligning stakeholders, and driving the success of our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

 

S&OP Process: Develop and execute a robust monthly S&OP schedule, engaging with stakeholders proactively. Oversee the detailed cycle of activities, collate pre-read materials, lead meetings, and ensure timely completion of actions. Continuously improve the S&OP process using industry best practices and maintain version-controlled documents.

 

Demand Planning: Develop accurate future demand forecasts based on analysis and external inputs. Challenge and enhance sales forecasts, identify variances, and establish a joint forecasting process with key customers. Utilize statistical forecasting tools and market intelligence to improve accuracy and minimize stock obsolescence.

 

Supply Planning: Align sales and production plans to ensure balanced allocation of volumes based on customer needs. Translate demand into effective supply plans, address supply constraints, and realign resources to meet demand on time and in full. Implement differentiated supply planning approaches and product wheel strategies.

 

Strategic Leadership: Drive the planning function across our UK operations to deliver on-time, cost-efficient dispatch to customers. Develop strategic goals for product availability, aligning plans with organizational objectives and customer expectations. Lead the monthly S&OP process, contribute to annual budgeting, and facilitate strategic business planning.

 

Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop the team's capabilities in analysis, forecasting, and planning. Lead the enhancement of S&OP capabilities throughout the business, fostering growth and continuous improvement.

 

What are we looking for

  • Strong background of leadership in demanding planning environments.
  • Proven experience in FMCG/CPG production/manufacturing environments/Oil & Gas experienced candidates would do well in this role.
  • Commercial understanding of FMCG industry dynamics.
  • SAP/IBP or other planning tools considered.
  • Excellent team leadership skills and commitment to organisational vision and values.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, along with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage tasks, work under pressure, and balance business needs.
