The Condition Monitoring Technician will be responsible for collecting, validating, and analyzing condition and performance data to support ongoing monitoring of plant equipment, identify developing issues, and provide timely recommendations that improve reliability and availability.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Science, Mechanical Engineering (or relevant discipline) or equivalent practical experience
- Basic, maintenance and reliability experience in a heavy industrial environment is a plus
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed i.e.: shifts, weekends, and on Public & Bank Holidays
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated
- Excellent work ethics
- Team-oriented
- Ability to work in indoor/outdoor working conditions, manual labour, and heavy lifting
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collect data, analyze, and recommend equipment condition based on monitoring trends
- Continuously review and improve condition-monitoring programs (vibration analysis, thermography, shaft alignment, ultrasound analysis)
- Oversee the implementation of the lubrication program of all plant equipment
- Monitor trends of equipment condition and make recommendations to maintain optimum plant operation and production
- Recommend maintenance work based on monitoring trends
- Maintain records of equipment conditions and maintenance/repair history
- Participate in root cause analysis sessions of equipment failure
