OVERVIEW

The Materials Management Coordinator MRO is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity, managing the inventory control functions for MRO spare parts and process aids/chemicals. Responsible for developing, leading, and implementing solutions that support the various inbound supply chain initiatives. Must understand and manage SAP Materials Management in a fast-paced environment, while focused on supporting the internal customers.

 

 

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the MRO spare parts and process aids/chemicals and inventory control functions.
  • Complete physical inventory cycle counts according to ABCD schedule and ad-hoc counts as needed.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and adjustments to the SAP system and notify management of significant variances.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery discrepancy root causes, while working with Purchasing Help Desk.
  • Support plant operations that run 24/5 and often 24/7 with the appropriate sense of urgency to the end customer.
  • Identify and suggest improvements in support of metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist supervisor/manager with:
    • Maintenance of a safe, clean, organized warehouse, communicating with Storeroom Attendants as needed
    • Scheduling and managing inbound deliveries with suppliers and carriers
    • Works with Vendors related to Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)
    • Material Goods Receipts and invoice exception troubleshooting through ARIBA
    • Utilizing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) functionality for replenishment decision making
    • Physical and system management of materials with proper MRP Master Data Compliance
    • Management of slow moving and obsolete inventory
    • Cross-functional projects
    • Other duties as assigned including occasional vacation coverage

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPECTED

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Some infrequent evening or weekend work may be expected

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations or related field is preferred or
  • 2 or more years of work experience in a progressively responsible inventory, operations, or production planning role
  • 1 year of experience utilizing an ERP system
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, understanding priorities and employing a strong sense of urgency as needed

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Site specific, but a desire for career development in that area is preferred and demonstrated leadership through influence
