Packaging Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of the Maintenance Department.  The position is also responsible for enforcing safety, sanitations and GMP practices.  The Maintenance supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of the hourly associates and line mechanics in a unionized work environment. 



  • Performing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic/pneumatic repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Fill out all the necessary paperwork and reports using SAP.
  • Manage spare parts inventory.
  • Communicate with supervision regarding equipment condition and repair needs based on history.
  • Use computer software to evaluate performance of equipment.
  • Work with OEM to troubleshoot problems.
  • Must be able to stay on task and be available at night and weekend if needed.
  • Supervise maintenance team on the daily regarding issues, including PLC
  • Supervise & organize the Preventive Maintenance program for the Packaging Equipment.
  • Coordinate the Preventive Maintenance using our SAP software PM module
  • Comply with OSHA safety requirements, ensure all PPE & GMP policies followed and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Do minor machines enhancements to improve overall plant efficiency
  • To improve overall line performance through supervision development, evaluating line performance to determine process improvements, trouble shoot and solve problems real time to prevent downtime and increase daily productivity.
  • Work in close association with production, quality control and warehouse teams through effective communication in an effort to resolve all issues and achieve company goals.




  • Bachelor’s degree in the related field, technical school education and/or 5 to 10 years manufacturing experience with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read, analyze and understand technical documents and drawings.
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills and be able to work with a team.
  • Knowledge in Allen Bradley software and utility equipment including but not limited to HVAC, air compressors and material handling systems.
  • Must be available for training and willing to train others.
  • Ability to define problems by collecting data and establishing facts to draw valid conclusions.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Organized and self-motivated
