POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Security Manager reports to the Vice President of Industrial Operations .located at Okeelanta Corporation. . The Senior Security Manager will be responsible to develop and implement a comprehensive and robust security strategy, with special emphasis on emerging security technologies. The Senior Security Manager should have an extensive security background and strong administrative, managerial and project management skills. This individual must have the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with senior FCC administrators, corporate executives, global vendors, service providers and governmental agencies. The position will require the ability to understand and manage all security technological projects from inception to completion. The Senior Security Manager will take direction from the Vice President of Industrial Operations and be his/her spokesperson in conveying security related information.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
- College degree, plus 10-15 years of applicable security management experience in a leadership role
- Knowledge of IT networks, server, cloud operations, and deploying network technology
- Experience working as security manager or related capacity in an industrial setting
- Experience utilizing Honeywell systems
- Advanced knowledge of and experience in the use, administration and integration of computer networks and associated security equipment and sub-systems, video and access control enterprise level systems, (analog and IP) equipment
- Specific knowledge of Pro-Watch, Max-Pro, Video Management Systems, Visitor Management Systems, CCTV and other alarm or monitoring systems
PREFERRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- Understanding of analogue security systems as well as digital security systems
- Understand advantages of on-premise systems vs Cloud based systems and how they impact overall security monitoring and reporting
- Working knowledge of various security systems to determine advantages and applicability to the company’s overall security needs
- Trained in the various aspects of digital data imagery and their storage requirements
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Senior Security Manager Responsibilities
- Administer and perform the technological duties associated with managing a global security enterprise access control and CCTV systems.
- Install security software, provide training to new users upon request
- Manage video and access control integration
- Software & server maintenance and upgrades
- Troubleshooting
- Build custom queries/reports, entry/exit logs for clients and end users upon request
- Liaise with FCC Helpdesk for support-and assume helpdesk duties related to security applications and software for local end users
- Manage vendor relationships and partnerships
- Project management (administer the global security camera expansion and deployment, transition all access and VMS applications to the cloud)
- Planning and scope development
- Determine architecture and standardized design to meet local and global equipment specifications
- Manage financial requisitions including, budgetary process and justification within Corporate structure then administer and manage authorized funding
- Project implementation, including resource allocation and user training and support
- Corporate responsibilities
- Create and manage a security software test environment and act as super user for all security applications
- Conduct internal investigations
- Collaborate with FCC Cloud, network, helpdesk, site support, systems administrators, and technical IT resources to complete security projects and initiatives
- Research, test and recommend new equipment and devices, then implement the roll out to end users.
- Technical lead on the CCTV electronic architecture for FCC Operations overhauls and installations
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive business relationships with internal and external customers and/or vendors.
- Manage the company’s CCTV electronic initiatives and regulatory compliance for new and existing products and coordinate with relevant global stakeholders
- Provide technical training and guidance for global security peers
Senior Security Manager Responsibilities
- The Senior Security Manager must successfully complete an approved , Facility Security Officer (FSO) course within his/her first thirty (30) days of employment.
- Manage the security program.
- Act as the Vice President of Industrial Operations trusted aide on all security matters
- Be able to manage FCC Operations Security program initiatives.
- Assist the Vice President of Industrial Operations in the rollout and management of corporate security plans, policies and procedures.
- Act as the subject matter expert on a myriad of security matters
- Manage the multi-site corporately driven FSP (Facility Security Plan) inspections program
- Assist in setting global policy for the organization
- Travel to other FCC Operations facilities as needed to provide guidance, conduct investigations and assistance
- Provide guidance to site managers
- Support the Safety Mission of FCC Operations, ensuring all employees, contractors and visitors are fully compliant with all company rules and regulations
- Complete and maintain all required MTSA, FSP, and CFR requirements
- Ensure the corporations regulated sites are in compliance with MTSA and or local security regulations
- Supports the Human Resources department by creating access credentials for newly hired personnel and for current personnel as the situation dictates
- Must be able to provide the Vice President of Industrial Operations with different opinions and interpretations of security policy
- Ensure all aspects of the Facility Security Plans are followed by all company personnel
- Monitor CCTV systems for access violations and procedural errors; correct as needed Lead or assist the Vice President of Industrial Operations with sensitive internal investigations
- Direct security staff personnel in day-to-day security business and operations
- Expert handling of all security incident requirements; liaise with all applicable local, state and federal law enforcement agencies (in particular, the Department of Homeland Security)
- Function as the incident commander in all emergency response situations in FCC Operations (fire, medical, severe weather, etc.)
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Be able to write high level security position papers and documents
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- Manage local security staff to ensure goals are being met
- Ensure that budgets prepared and submitted are in line with the overall expectations of the security department.
- Manage the security program
- Conducts when required the weekly conference calls, keeping them informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the department and company
- Monitors productivity of direct reports and recommends and implements changes to improve work productivity
- Plans and monitors project workload for timely and accurate completion
- Coordinates workflow and procedures to maximize service
- Coaches and counsels direct reports and peers on performance issues
- Arranges for cross training of team to maximize productivity and provide coverage of all functions

- Ability to work in an Industrial Manufacturing setting
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet).
