Associate Commodity Raw Sugar Analyst

OVERVIEW

The Raw Sugar Analyst assists with the logistical and trading functions of our Global Sugars Group, part of Redpath Sugar Ltd.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To assist with all aspects of the Redpath GSG function as follows but not limited to: 

• Vessel nomination and documentation
• Canada Customs clearance for raw sugar imports
• Prepare and calculate Demurrage/Dispatch Statements
• Verify settlement of polarization and quality statements

• Invoice verification and payment processing
• Administer Sustainability program
• Maintaining trading information and systems

• Provide commercial support for Raw Sugar Trading group including but not limited to sourcing and logistics
• Operational analysis
• All other administrative functions regarding raw sugar vessels, etc. 

WORK EXPERIENCES

• Minimum 2 years experience in a commodity trading and/or marine logistics preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to work in team environment both internal and external to the company
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills     
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities
• Strong computer skills primarily Microsoft products
