OVERVIEW
The Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a two (2) year structured learning and development program for select new graduates who are hired into the ASR Group Engineering team.

As part of the GDP, you will have access to support and mentorship from Company leaders, technical Subject Matter Experts, and former GDP participants who will all help guide you as you start your career with us.
We are looking for entry-level engineers in the following disciplines: Mechanical, Mechatronics
GENERAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop multi-discipline (chemical, mechanical, controls, industrial or electrical) proficiency during the program
- Assist in planning and executing major equipment overhauls and preventive maintenance programs
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce production losses from equipment breakdowns
- Monitor equipment performance and identify reliability issues
- Design and develop capital projects for installation of new systems to improve reliability
- Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects
- Supervise contractors ensuring safety and quality procedures are being adhered to
- General electrical troubleshooting & equipment (starters, VFD, Soft starts & breakers)

- Time Management: Having the ability to manage and monitor a large number of projects to completion.
- Critical thinking and problem solving: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Communication: The ability to effectively and clearly communicate information and ideas.
- Self-starter: Have a strong sense of urgency and is deadline-oriented. The ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
- Emotional Intelligence
- Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills, and oral/written communication skills.
- Interest in pursuing a career path as a leader in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to write clearly and accurately.
- Prior related internship experience is a plus
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university.
- 0 - 2 years of professional work experience (including internships and co-ops)
- Validated leadership experience through extra-curricular activities, employment and/or internship experiences is required.
- Strong academic record (3.0 GPA or better).
